Lady Mary Waldegrave, daughter of Sir William Waldegrave, Knight, of Smallbridge County, Suffolk, and Elizabeth Mildmay. She married Sir Thomas Clopton, the youngest son of William Clopton, Esquire, and Mary Perient, and eventual heir of Kentwell Hall. Lady Mary died in 1599. The original portrait was painted by Marcus Gheeraerts the younger and hangs in the Yale University Center for British Art, New Haven, Connecticut.
