Margery Francys was the daughter and heir of Elias Francis, Esquire, of Norfolk. She was the second wife of William De Cloptone, Esquire, of Kentwell Hall. She died in 1424 and is buried at Holy Trinity Church, Long Melford. Her tomb with this brass showing her coat of arms is near the tomb of her husband.
